Water Station Damages

      The Avant Water & Ice Station, located at 2424 E. Business 83, in front of Moreno`s, was damaged by someone who tried to break into it. The culprit left $1,500 in damage in his attempt. No money was taken
      The crime was reported on Monday morning, March 28, probably occurred during nighttime  hours earlier.

Vehicle at Pablo Pena Park
March 22, 2016

     On Tuesday, March22, someone broke into a car at Pablo Pena Park (City Park)  and stole a wallet. The burglar broke a side window of the Chevrolet Malibu, between 8am and 8:10am. The car had been parked in a southeast parking lot in the park.
      Taken was a "Steve Madden" wallet and its contents: a driver`s license, bank card, and $20 cash.
      The victim reported seeing a suspicious male driving through the park, in a black Chevrolet 4-door car. The driver was Hispanic, bald, and light skinned.

Burglary at Springwood Estates

      Burglars struck the office of Springwood Estates, located on Mile 5 1/2N, in the southeastern  part of Weslaco.  One or more crooks broke a winda house used as an officer for the subdivision                                                                                           
      The burglary occulted between March 14-15, 5pm - 9am. Numerous items were stolen. They included 2-desktop computers, with monitors and keyboards; 2-HP printers, and a 32 inch plasma television.

Biurglary ay Car Wash
March 14, 2016

      "Car Wash Car Wash,"  1620 East Business 83, was burglarized on March 12, during nighttime. A Weslaco police officer on patrol spotted damaged glass at the front of the building.
      The entry point was a back door, whose glass was completely broken out. A few things in the area were scattered around. The only things taken were 3 5- gallon containers of liquids air freshener. They were worth about $100 each,
      Maybe, we can follow the scent of roses to the home of the burglar. Or orange blossoms, or perhaps a jasmine.

Trailer Stolen

On January 18, between the hours of 8pm and 9pm, someone stole a utility trailer, parked on the street in the 800 block of South Louisiana, Weslaco. The 2014 Victoria C & Q, 16-foor, black trailer, Model 76X is valued at $2500.

Money Stolen

A resident of Weslaco, age 89, went shopping two Sundays ago, and when he returned home, he found that his cash had been stolen from his home. The elderly gentleman, from North Pueblo Street, was unable to find where anyone might have broken into his house.
      He figured that the thief is someone he is acquainted with because the thief did not even have to tear the house apart to find the money.

Christmas Day Blues

A significant theft took place Christmas Day, 2015, at about 10:30a.m. A lone male entered the compound at Payne Collision Center, 727 E. Business 83 and stole parts from a Dodge Charger, parked in the lot.saw the
     Taken were a set of 4 rims and tires from the Charger. A passer-by crime and called police (but too late).  The stolen property is valued at $3,000.Theft
      The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, age 30, 5`7" with black clean cut hair and a clean shave. He wore a white shirt and blue jeans. He drove off in a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche, dark blue in color.

Mower Stolen from Roosevelt

A large riding mower was stolen from Roosevelt Elementary, sometime during the nighttime hours of Monday, November 30-December 1. The large "Grass Hopper" 60-inch mower was locked in a fenced area. The mower is beige, with red or black stripes.

Burglary of Storage Room
November 18, 2015

Weslaco Police need information on a burglary that occurred at a home, on Ruby Street, in Center Point subdivision. On November 12, a burglar entered an attached storage room and stole a weed eater. Also, this person went into the back yard and took a red 5-gallon gas can and a gray mower.
      A witness reported seeing a car full of males parked on the street and another male, tall and bald, who facilitated the burglary. The car was a gray Hyundai 4-door.

Burglary on West Sugar Cane

Weslaco Police are looking for a burglar that almost cleared out an apartment of its entertainment devices (and a few other things). The burglary that occurred on Tuesday night, September  29, between 7pm and 4am, took place at an apartment in the 1500 block of West Sugar Cane Drive.
      After forcing the front door of the apartment, the burglar (s) stole several TV sets, DVD players, an HP laptop and  2-Toshiba laptops. Also taken were a Samsung Galaxy tablet (white) and two guns: 1) "Phoenix Arms" .22 caliber handgun; "Smith & Wesson" 9mm handgun.
